1. Pocket Opening Assembly
- Align the front 001 with the pocket lining 003 along the pocket opening, right sides together, and sew. Then trim the allowance down to 5mm or make small cuts to prevent pulling when turning. Flip the lining to the wrong side, press, and topstitch with a decorative stitch width 5-7mm. Iron the seam.

3. Secure Pocket and Front
- Match and secure the pocket and front along the top and side edges. They should lie flat together.

2. Pocket Lining and Side Panel
- Align the pocket lining and the front side panel 002 along the bottom edge and sew. Finish the seam allowances.

6. Waistband Assembly
- Sew the waistband pieces 005 and 006 together along the side seam and press the allowances open.

11. Hem Alignment
- Turn the garment inside out, align the bottom edges, and sew them together.

10. Zipper Insertion
- Insert the zipper into the center back seam. Finish the zipper with waistband facing.

9. Join Inner and Outer Waistband
- Sew together the inner and outer parts of the waistband at the waist, aligning right sides together. Then trim the allowances to 5mm and turn right side out.

8. Attach Waistband to Skirt
- Attach the waistband to the skirt. The back of the skirt has a slight ease relative to the waistband. Direct the allowances towards the waistband and topstitch with a decorative stitch 5-7mm wide.

7. Inner Waistband Assembly
- Similarly, sew the inner waistband pieces 007 and 008 along the side seam and press the allowances open.

5. Back Center Seam
- Sew the back's center seam up to the zipper notch. Press the allowances open. It's best to finish the edges before sewing.

4. Side Seams
- Sew the side seams between the front and back pieces, then press the allowances open. Make sure to finish the edges before sewing.

13. Finish Waist Seam
- Finish the waist seam with a bias stitch and add a decorative stitch 5-7mm wide.
