Step 6: Attaching Pocket to Entrance

  1. Stitch the edge of the pocket entrance on the skirt + shorts (two layers together) pocket burlap with a side. Sew seam allowances onto the burlap 1-2mm.

  1. Combine the upper and lower pocket burlaps, stitch the burlaps pockets at the bottom. The seam should be closed, overcast or edged.

Step 4: Preparing Side Pocket Part

  1. On side part 002, fold over the 10mm diagonal allowance – iron or sweep. Then place the side on the top burlap 003 with the wrong side facing the face, combine edges and stitch shsh.1-2mm along the folded allowance. On the remaining edges baste the side or lay a temporary machine stitch with an enlarged stitch length.

Step 3: Topstitching Front Half

  1. Topstitch the front half of the shorts with a large machine stitch on the skirt, along the waistline, along the pocket opening, along the side edge.

Step 2: Front Shorts Central Seam

  1. Complete the central seam of the shorts' front half using a closed seam 001 from the lining (join the front pieces of the shorts). Press the seam flat.

Step 1: Hemming the Skirt

  1. Fold the bottom of Skirt 005 upwards by 30mm to bead, then stitch or hem. Finish with a blind hand stitch and press.

Step 10: Side Seams

  1. Sew the side seams of the front and back pieces. Press the seam allowances towards the back. Finish the edges.

Step 15: Finishing Waistband Ends & Inseam

  1. Finish the ends of the waistband at the back – wrap the zipper with the waistband from the inside. Finish the inseam of the front and back pieces with a closed seam. Press it.

Step 14: Finishing Inner Waistband

  1. Finish the open edge of the inner side of the waistband by either binding or pressing 10mm to the inside. Then stitch the inner part of the waistband to the waist in the ditch or 1-2mm from the edge on the right side.

  1. Finish the seam allowances and zipper together along the center seam of the back piece of the shorts.

Step 12: Inserting Invisible Zipper

  1. Insert the invisible zipper into the center back seam. The zipper runs from the notch to the center of the waistband, meaning the waistband also closes with the zipper.

Step 11: Attaching Waistband

  1. Attach the waistband 007 on the outer side to the waist edge of the shorts, placing them right sides together. Press the seam allowances up towards the waistband.

Step 16: Hemming the Shorts

  1. Finish the hem of the shorts, fold it up 30mm, and stitch or hand sew it with a hidden stitch. Press it.
