Interfacing Facings
- Duplicate all facing pieces completely. The easiest way to do this is to fuse the entire piece of fabric meant for the facings with interfacing first, then cut out the facing pieces from the fused fabric.

Reinforcing Facings
- To reinforce the facing, cut two facing pieces from fusible interfacing. Attach the interfacing to the facing, then press along the fold line.

Sewing Back Darts
- Pin and sew the darts on the back panel of the skirt.

Pressing Darts
- Press the darts first along the edge, then iron them toward the center seam.

Stitching Side Seams
- Sew the side seams together with a 1 cm seam allowance. Finish the seam edges with a serger and press them flat.

Assembling Side Seams
- Place the front and back fabric pieces together with the right sides facing. Line up and pin the side edges.

Pressing Side Seams
- Press the side seam allowances toward the back panel.

Stitching Facing Side Seams
- Stitch the side seams of the skirt top facings. Seam allowance is 1 cm. Press the allowances open.

Finishing Facing Bottom Edge
- Serge/Overlock the bottom edges of the facing.

Attaching Front Facing to Underlap
- Pin the facing of the front panel along the vertical edge to the underlap/underfacing (podbort) and stitch with a seam allowance of 1 cm. Along the vertical edge of the underlap/underfacing, press the 1 cm allowance to the wrong side.

Positioning Front Facing
- Fold the front facing along the fold line to the right side. Fold the facing and the garment right sides together and pin along the top edges.

Stitching Top Edge
- Stitch the top edge of the skirt and the facing. Seam allowance is 1 cm.

Trimming Tape
- From the wrong side, trim the excess width of the bias binding/tape close to the stitching line.

Understitching Facing
- Understitch the seam on the facing at a distance of 0.1 cm from the seam, catching the allowances.

Trimming Seam Allowances
- Trim the seam allowances on the facing side down to 0.5 cm.

Pressing and Securing Facing
- Press the facing with a slight understitch to the wrong side. Secure the facing to the side seam allowances with hand stitches.

Pressing Hem Allowance
- Press the hem allowance along the hemline to the wrong side by 6 cm.

Stitching Underlap Hem
- Fold the underlap/underfacing (podbort) to the right side and place a stitching line exactly along the hemline.
