Bust Darts
Darts sewn on the front panels to shape the bust area, pressed upward.
Where it is used
Pressing the darts
p. 2- PRESS THE DART SEAM ALLOWANCES UPWARD.

Pinning and Stitching Darts
p. 1- Pin the darts along the marked line. Stitch the darts on the front pieces, securing the stitching at the beginning and end of the seam.

Transfer Bust Dart Markings
p. 3- Transfer the bust dart markings to the wrong side of the front pieces.

Press Bust Darts
p. 4- Press the darts, then press the dart allowance upward. At the tip of the dart, gently steam into shape using curved motions.

Sew Bust Darts
p. 4- Fold the front piece right sides together along the dart center marking, align the slanted marking lines, and pin in place. Sew the dart on the machine exactly along the marked line, starting at the dart base.

4. Press the darts
p. 2- PRESS THE DART SEAM ALLOWANCES UPWARD.

Pressing Back Darts
p. 2- Press the darts, then press the dart allowance toward the center. At the top point of the dart, gently steam-press using curved motions.

Marking Bust Darts
p. 9- Mark the placement of the bust darts on the front panel from the wrong side according to the markings on the front panel pattern.

Stitching Darts
p. 9- Stitch the dart on the panel.

Pressing Bust Darts
p. 10- Press the allowances of the bust darts towards the center of the panel.

Pressing Bust Darts
p. 5- Press the bust dart allowance on the front piece upwards, and press the dart allowance on the front lining piece downwards.

Pressing Bust Darts
p. 5- Press the bust dart allowance on the front piece upwards, and press the dart allowance on the front lining piece downwards.
