Pleat folding
Folding and pressing the front trouser fabric toward the side seams to create structured pleats.
Where it is used
Sewing Center Pleat
p. 5- Sew the pleat down the center of the front panel, keeping a 4 mm distance from the fold.

Pressing Center Pleat
p. 5- Press the stitched pleat on the front.

Sewing Side Seams and Folding Pleats
p. 7- Place the side edges of the front and back pant pieces right sides together. Sew the side seams. Finish the seam allowances together and press them towards the back. From the right side, fold the pleats according to the markings on the pattern. Align the pleat edges and secure them with pins. The pleat should be directed toward the side seam from the outside; press in place. Note! The pleat edge should be pressed sharply, just like a crease. From the right side, stitch along the top edge of the pants to secure both the pleats and the pocket lining.

Creating Lining Pleat
p. 8- Align the edges of the lining and facing pieces using the guide notches. Fold the extra fabric at the bottom of the lining into a pleat, as shown in the photo.
