Pressing side-seam allowances toward the back (for main fabric) or toward the front (for lining).
Where it is used
Pinning the lining side seams
p. 3- Pin the side edges of the front lining and back lining together, matching the edges and placing right sides facing each other.

Pressing the side seams
p. 3- Press the side-seam allowance toward the back.
