Raglan sleeve assembly
The process of pinning, stitching, and pressing the diagonal seams that connect raglan sleeves to the bodice.
Where it is used
Pinning Raglan Sleeves
p. 3- Place the sleeve and T-shirt right sides together, aligning the raglan edges and matching the reference points and side seam. Make sure not to mix up the right and left sleeves—use the reference points as your guide. Pin in place from the sleeve side.

Pressing Raglan Seams
p. 3- Press the seam, then press the seam allowances toward the T-shirt.

Sewing Raglan Sleeves
p. 3- Sew the sleeves using a serger. Stitch from the sleeve side.

Pinning Neckline Facing
p. 4- Insert the facing into the neckline, right sides together, and pin in place, matching the notches. Align the facing seam with the raglan seam on the back of the left sleeve.

Pin Sleeves to Armholes
p. 7- Insert the sleeves into the armholes with right sides facing each other. Make sure not to mix up the right and left sleeves—use the guide marks for reference. Pin the sleeves in place from the sweater side.

Pinning the sleeve pieces
p. 7- Pin the front and back sleeve pieces together along the top edge, matching the edges and notches, with right sides facing each other.

Pinning the lower sleeve edges
p. 8- Pin the lower edges of the sleeve, matching the cuts with right sides facing each other.

Pinning sleeves to armholes
p. 9- Pin the sleeves into the armholes of the front and back pieces, matching the edges and notches, with the right sides facing each other.

Sleeve and Hem Preparation
p. 2- Overlock the lower edges of the sleeves and the hem of the garment from the right side. Baste, fold up the sleeve hem along the basting line, and press.

Sleeve Preparation - Pinning
p. 6- Pin the sleeve’s upper and lower edges together, matching the edges with right sides facing each other.

Attaching Cuffs - Pinning
p. 9- Pin the cuffs to the sleeve hem, matching raw edges, seams, and notches, with right sides together.

Attaching Sleeves - Pinning
p. 10- Pin the sleeves to the armhole edge, matching the edges and notches, with right sides together.
