Ruffle
A gathered or flared strip of fabric attached to the bottom edge of the garment.
Where it is used
Pinning Ruffle Side Edges
p. 10- Pin the side edges of the front ruffle to the back ruffle, aligning the edges and notches with the right sides facing each other.

Sewing Ruffle Side Edges
p. 10- Sew the side edges of the front ruffle with the back ruffle, leaving a 1.0 cm allowance.

Gathering the Ruffle
p. 11- Gather the gathering stitch along the ruffle to the size indicated on the pattern for the front and back ruffles.

Pinning Ruffle to Body
p. 12- Pin the ruffle to the bottom edge of the front and back pieces, evenly distributing the gathers along the ruffle, aligning the edges, side seams, and notches, with right sides facing each other.

Sewing Ruffle to Body
p. 12- Sew the ruffle to the bottom edge of the front and back panels. Allowance: 1.0 cm.

Finishing Ruffle Seam
p. 13- Finish the seam allowance attaching the ruffle to the front and back.

Pressing Ruffle Seam
p. 13- Press the seam allowances of the ruffle attachment to the front and back panels.
