Seat seam assembly
The process of joining the left and right pant legs along the crotch curve.
Where it is used
Sewing Right Side Seam
p. 6- Fold the right leg piece right sides together, aligning the side seams. Pin along the side from the front piece. Serge the seam, stitching from the front piece side. Press the seam, then press the seam allowance toward the back piece.

Sewing Crotch Seam
p. 6- Sew the crotch seam on a serger. Press the seam, then on the straight sections, press the seam allowances so the right side of the serged stitch faces you.

Pinning Crotch Seam
p. 6- Leave one pant leg turned right side out, and turn the other inside out. Place one leg inside the other, right sides facing, and align the crotch seam. Pin in place.

15.4. Sewing seat seam
p. 14- Sew the seat seam to the marked level where the closure begins. Seam allowance: 1.0 cm.

15.7. Pressing seat seam
p. 15- Press the seat-seam allowance on the back pieces over a 10 cm section. Along the inseam area, press the seat-seam allowance open (on edge).

15.4. Sew seat seam
p. 14- Sew the seat seam to the marked level where the closure begins. Seam allowance: 1.0 cm.

Joining Trouser Legs
p. 13- Turn one trouser leg to the right side; leave the second one turned inside out (wrong side out). Take the trouser leg turned to the right side and insert it into the second trouser leg (which is wrong side out), joining the legs right sides together along the crotch seam. Pin or baste, aligning the seams and control points for the zipper attachment. Stitch on the machine with a 1 cm seam allowance, using backstitches (reinforcement). Stitch from either side. Press lightly.

Joining Trouser Inseams
p. 12- Place the front and back trouser pieces right sides together, aligning the inseam (crotch seam). Pin. Stitch on the machine with a 1 cm seam allowance, using backstitches (reinforcement).
