Side and sleeve seam

The continuous seam that runs from the sleeve cuff down to the hem of the shirt.

  1. Unfold the pre-pressed hem. Place sleeve pieces right sides together, pin, and sew the side seam. Press the seam allowances toward the front.

  1. Fold the sleeve with the right sides together, align and pin the side seam, making sure the bottom edges match up. Use a serger set for four-thread stitching to sew the seam. Stitch from the sleeve side that connects to the back. Leave serger thread tails at the bottom edge.
