Sew Sleeve Seams

  1. Turn the sleeves inside out, matching up the edges. Pin them in place. Use a serger to sew the seam, starting from the back of the sleeve. The front of the sleeve is marked with a notch along the sleeve cap.

Pin Sleeves to Armholes

  1. Insert the sleeves into the armholes with right sides facing each other. Make sure not to mix up the right and left sleeves—use the guide marks for reference. Pin the sleeves in place from the sweater side.

Sleeve Insertion

  1. Pin the sleeves into the armholes, right sides together; do not mix up the right and left sleeves, and align the control points. The control point on the sleeve cap relates to the front. Stitch the sleeves with the overlocker, placing the stitching on the jumper side. Press lightly, then press the seam allowances towards the jumper body.

  1. Stitch and serge the front and back sections of the sleeve along the upper edge using a 4-thread overlock. Seam allowance: 0.7 cm.
