Understitching roll

A pressing and stitching technique that forms a 0.1 cm roll of the outer fabric to keep the lining hidden from the right side.

Where it is used

Press the seam allowance of the stand turning seam towards the outer stand piece. Press the stand, forming a 0.1 cm roll (understitch/piping effect) from the inner stand piece.

Turn the garment to the right side and press the sleeve hem, forming a 0.1 cm roll (understitch/piping effect) from the lining piece.

Press the garment hem, forming a 0.1 cm roll (understitch/piping effect) from the lining piece.
