Edge tape
Also known as selvage tape, used to stabilize delicate, sheer, or high-stress seams like shoulder edges.
Where it is used
Interfacing Neckline and Shoulder Edges
p. 2- Fuse a strip of interfacing, 1.0 cm wide, on the neckline edges of the front and back pieces, and the shoulder edges of the back piece on the wrong side. If the fabric is sheer, you must apply edge tape (selvage tape) to the shoulder edge.
