Elastic band (0.7 cm)
A narrow elastic strip inserted into the upper edge casing of the central back piece.

23. Secure elastic ends
p. 7- SECURE THE ELASTIC ENDS BY OVERLAPPING THE CUT EDGES BY 1.0 CM. MAKE SURE THE ELASTIC INSIDE DOESN’T GET TWISTED!
22. Thread bottom elastic
p. 7- CUT A 2.0 CM-WIDE ELASTIC TO THE REQUIRED LENGTH. THE RECOMMENDED ELASTIC LENGTH IS INDICATED ON THE FRONT PATTERN PIECE. THREAD THE ELASTIC INTO THE CASING THROUGH THE OPENING LEFT.
Step 25: Cutting elastic
p. 10- Cut a piece of elastic tape, 0.7 cm wide. The recommended length is specified on the front lining pattern.

p. 8- Stitch the ends of the elastic, overlapping them by 1.0 cm. Make sure the elastic doesn't get twisted!

p. 16- Mark lines for elastic thread placement on the front side of the central back piece, following the pattern markings.

p. 17- Insert the elastic, 0.7 cm wide, into the stitched seam allowance of the central back piece. The length of the elastic is specified on the pattern for the central back piece. Secure the elastic along the side seams.
Joining the Elastic Ends
p. 7- Join the ends of the elastic to form a loop, overlapping them by 2 cm, and stitch securely with several backstitches.
