Hat elastic
Thin, round elastic cord used to create the button loop for the back closure.
Where it is used
55. Waistband Assembly
p. 22- Insert the hat elastic into the waistband through the grommets and stoppers, threading it double. The recommended length of the elastic is indicated on the waistband template.
56. Waistband Assembly
p. 22- Stitch the ends of the hat elastic by overlapping them 1.0 cm. Tuck the sewn ends inside the waistband.
Joining the Elastic Ends
p. 7- Join the ends of the elastic to form a loop, overlapping them by 2 cm, and stitch securely with several backstitches.
Attaching Elastic Loop
p. 9- Stitch the ends of the elastic cord (hat elastic) to form a loop, placing it on the right side against the left edge of the outer stand according to the markings on the outer stand. The length of the loop depends on the diameter of the button.
