Mark Zipper Reference Points
p. 8- Mark the lower zipper point on the front piece—this is the reference for your hem allowance. On the collar, mark where the zipper starts—this will be your collar fold reference point.

Pinning the first zipper side
p. 14- Turn the zipper tape inside out and pin one side of it to the right edge of the closure, making sure to leave a 2 mm gap from the top edge at the collar fold. The edge of the zipper tape should extend 3 mm past the closure edge of the front panel.

8. Aligning and Stitching the Second Zipper Half
p. 7- Transfer the collar seam alignment mark to the second half of the zipper. Place the zipper edge against the front piece edge, right sides together. Fold the top edge of the zipper as done on the left side, making sure to align the zipper mark with the collar seam. Pin or baste in place, then stitch the right side of the zipper. Check the collar seam—when the zipper is closed, the left and right sides should match.

Attaching the Zipper to the Left Panel
p. 5- Pin the zipper to the left front panel, keeping it 2-3 mm away from the teeth. Stitch the zipper in place from the right side, sewing close to the edge. IMPORTANT! The bottom stopper of the zipper should be positioned directly above the end mark for the zipper on the pattern.

Step 1
p. 5- On the right side of the front piece, mark the center front line up to the mark indicating the end of the zipper insertion. Snip the center front line at the neckline for 2-3 cm.
