Bagging the lining
Joining the lining to the main coat right sides together and turning it right side out through a sleeve opening.
Where it is used
Turning Collar and Basting
p. 8- Turn the collar right side out and straighten the zipper corners. Smooth out the inside of the collar and baste it to the neckline edge, overlapping the collar seam by about 1 cm.
10. Sew back lining to front lining
p. 5- Back lining 006 sew along the side seam with Front lining 001. Overcast the lower edge of the lining.
12. Sew lining along armholes
p. 5- Fold the lining face-to-face with the back again and align along the armhole edges so that after sewing the armhole and cap are inside the lining (closed edge). Tack/sew the lining along the entire armhole, including the protrusion for the casing on the front. Turn it out, adjust, and trim the armhole allowance to 5mm if necessary, or notch the allowance at the bottom of the armhole.
8. Pin lining side edges
p. 3- Pin the side edges of the front lining and back lining together, matching the edges and placing right sides facing each other.
11. Pin outer top to lining
p. 4- Pin the outer top to the lining along the upper edge, matching the raw edges and side seams, with right sides facing each other.
16. Pin lower edge
p. 5- Place the lining and the top together with wrong sides facing. Pin the lower edge of the outer top to the lining edge, turning a small section so the right sides face inward. Pin the edges through the open section at the hem.
18. Turn right-side out
p. 6- Turn the top right-side out through the opening left in the lining’s side seam.
25. Close lining opening
p. 8- Hand-sew the opening left in the lining’s side seam using invisible stitches.

p. 9- Pin the edges of the back lining’s center seam together, matching up the notches and raw edges, with right sides facing in.
25. Closing Lining Opening
p. 15- Stitch up the opening left in the lining, folding the seam allowances along the edge and sewing at 0.1 cm.
Step 7: Pinning lining side seams
p. 5- Pin the side edges of the lining together, matching the edges with right sides facing each other.
Step 27: Pinning elastic to lining
p. 11- Pin the elastic to the lower edge of the lining, placing it on the wrong side.
