Lining assembly

Stitching the lining pieces together, leaving an opening in one sleeve for turning the coat.

Turning Collar and Basting

  1. Turn the collar right side out and straighten the zipper corners. Smooth out the inside of the collar and baste it to the neckline edge, overlapping the collar seam by about 1 cm.

Stitching Collar in the Ditch

  1. From the front side, sew a line along the groove of the collar attachment seam. On the reverse side, check that the edge of the collar is caught in the stitch along the entire seam.

10. Sew back lining to front lining

  1. Back lining 006 sew along the side seam with Front lining 001. Overcast the lower edge of the lining.

12. Sew lining along armholes

  1. Fold the lining face-to-face with the back again and align along the armhole edges so that after sewing the armhole and cap are inside the lining (closed edge). Tack/sew the lining along the entire armhole, including the protrusion for the casing on the front. Turn it out, adjust, and trim the armhole allowance to 5mm if necessary, or notch the allowance at the bottom of the armhole.

15. Topstitch bodice lining

  1. Tack/topstitch the bodice lining along the lower edge from the right side in the seam split of the bodice attachment, forming pleats or gathers. The back lining remains free.

8. Pin lining side edges

9. Sew lining side seams
