Collar assembly
The process of sewing the upper and undercollar together, then attaching them to the neckline.
Where it is used
Preparing Twill Tape
p. 3- Pre-shrink the twill tape, then measure out the neckline edge of the collar and add 2–4 cm. Press the twill tape in half lengthwise.

Attaching Collar to Neckline
p. 4- Place the collar (with the unfinished edge) right sides together with the dress, aligning the neckline edges and matching all notches, then pin in place. Sew the collar onto the neckline using a 1.0 cm seam allowance.

Pressing Collar Seam
p. 4- Press the seam, then press the seam allowances toward the collar.

Turning Collar and Basting
p. 8- Turn the collar right side out and straighten the zipper corners. Smooth out the inside of the collar and baste it to the neckline edge, overlapping the collar seam by about 1 cm.

Stitching Collar in the Ditch
p. 8- From the front side, sew a line along the groove of the collar attachment seam. On the reverse side, check that the edge of the collar is caught in the stitch along the entire seam.

Step 3: Assemble the collar
p. 7- Collars without gathers. Simply sew 2 pieces together, finish the seams and turn the collar inside out so that the seams remain inside.

Stitch bodice pieces and collar
p. 9- Then stitch the assembled pieces along the shoulder seams. Connect the upper and lower pieces along the armhole seam, side seam, neck seam, sew in the assembled collar.

Folding Collar
p. 5- Fold the collar piece right sides together, aligning the short edges of the outer collar (collar point edges), and pin.

Checking Collar Corner Insertion
p. 7- Turn the collar to the right side, check the quality of the collar corner insertion.

Mark Collar Seamlines
p. 5- Mark the collar, measuring 0.7 cm from the edges until the intersection of the lines.

Fold Collar
p. 5- Fold the collar piece right sides together, aligning the short edges of the outer collar (collar point edges), and pin.

Align Collar with Placket Center
p. 6- Place the edge of the collar towards the pressed line marking the center of the placket.
