Collar attachment
The process of joining the collar to the neckline of the sweatshirt.
Where it is used
16. Collar Preparation
p. 7- 16.1. Stitch the ends of the collar with the right sides facing inward. Leave a seam allowance of 0.7 cm. 16.2. Turn the collar right side out and press it flat.

17. Attach collar to neckline
p. 7- 17.1.1. Pin the lower edge of the collar to the dress neckline. The collar ends should meet the notch at the center of the placket. Fold the placket right sides together along the crease, making sure part of the collar stays between the placket edges.

17.1.3 - 17.1.4. Turn and press collar
p. 8- Turn the placket corners right side out. Press the lower edge of the upper collar upward.

Attach Collar to Sweater
p. 6- Place the collar (unfinished edge) right sides together with the sweater, aligning the neckline edges and matching all guide points. Pin in place. Sew the collar to the sweater using a sewing machine, with a 1.0 cm seam allowance.

p. 17- Turn the garment inside out. Place the collar into the neckline, right sides together. Align the collar seam with the mark on the left sleeve. Match the remaining collar marks with the corresponding neckline seams and marks, securing them with pins. Make sure the edges are even, then stitch the collar to the neckline on the overlocker from the collar side, removing pins as you sew.
