Placket
The neckband piece used to finish and reinforce the V-neckline.
Where it is used
Placket Preparation
p. 5- Finish the edge on one of the vertical sides of the placket.

p. 5- Press the fastening plackets in half lengthwise.
Attaching the Placket
p. 6- Mark the stitching line for attaching the placket on the front piece from the right side. Allow for a 1.0 cm seam allowance. Mark the reference points for the end of the fastening on the front piece (the intersection of lines is where your placket markers should be).

p. 6- Pin the unfinished edges of the plackets to the vertical edges of the front piece. Place the right side of the placket facing the right side of the front piece.

p. 6- Sew the raw edges of the placket to the vertical edges of the front piece, carefully aligning all reference marks.

p. 6- Make 45-degree snips on the shelf piece, stopping 1 mm before the placket stitching line.
Preparing the Neckline Facing Placket
p. 10- Stabilize the finished placket across its width, if necessary.
