Pocket reinforcement
The technique of applying fusible tape to pocket openings to prevent them from stretching or sagging during wear.
Where it is used
Pocket Construction - Step 1
p. 3- On the front piece of the pants (FPP), reinforce the pocket opening edge with a lengthwise fusible tape. The tape should be 1–1.5 cm wide.
Pocket Construction - Step 6
p. 4- Sew the reinforcement stitches 4 mm from the edge, as shown in the diagram.
