Darts located on the back panel and back facing to shape the garment over the shoulder blades.
Where it is used
Trimming the dart seam allowance
p. 2- Trim the dart seam allowance along the marked line on the front piece and the front lining.

Sewing the darts
p. 2- Sew the darts on the front piece and on the front lining.

Transferring Dart and Center Front Lines
p. 1- On the wrong side, transfer the dart lines and the center front line from the pattern; if necessary, you can place a hand stitch along the center line so it is not lost during the sewing process.

Pinning and Stitching Darts
p. 1- Pin the darts along the marked line. Stitch the darts on the front pieces, securing the stitching at the beginning and end of the seam.

1. Sew the darts
p. 2- Sew the darts on the front piece and on the front lining.

2. Mark the dart seam allowance
p. 2- Mark the dart seam allowance cut line, keeping it parallel to the stitching and 1.0 cm away.

3. Trim the dart seam allowance
p. 2- Trim the dart seam allowance along the marked line on the front piece and the front lining.

4. Press the darts
p. 2- PRESS THE DART SEAM ALLOWANCES UPWARD.

Pressing Back Waist Darts
p. 6- Press the waist dart allowance on the back piece towards the center, and press the waist dart allowance on the back lining piece towards the side seams.

4. Stitching Shoulder Darts
p. 5- Stitch the darts along the shoulder seam. Remove the overlocker chain thread using a crochet hook. Sew an additional stitch at the end of the dart, securing at both the beginning and the end, stitching precisely in the overlock seam to prevent the threads from unraveling. Press the dart toward the back. Press the dart tip carefully.

Back Shoulder Darts
p. 6- Sew the shoulder darts on the back piece, press them, and press the seams toward the center.

5. Mark the shoulder darts
p. 10- Mark the placement of the shoulder darts on the wrong side of the back piece, following the pattern markings.
