Armhole seams
The seams connecting the raglan sleeves to the front and back bodices.
Where it is used
Sewing Raglan Sleeves
p. 3- Sew the sleeves using a serger. Stitch from the sleeve side.
9. Pressing armhole seams
p. 10- Press the armhole seam allowances toward the sleeve.
7. Pinning sleeves to armhole
p. 10- Pin the sleeves to the armhole edge, matching the edges and notches, with right sides together.
8. Sew sleeve to armhole
p. 5- Sew the sleeve to the armhole, matching the notches—this is important. The elastic of the sleeve should be included in the seam. There will be 10mm of free armhole on the back (for attaching the lining to the back), and 40mm on the front (for casing treatment at the top of the bodice).
Trimming Armhole Seam Allowance
p. 8- Reinforce the seam where the stitching joins in a circle with a backstitch. Trim the seam allowance down to 0.5 – 0.7 cm.

Securing Armhole Area
p. 10- Secure the side edges at the armhole area, aligning the armhole edges. Seam allowance: 0.7 cm.
5. Sewing Armhole Seams
p. 5- Sew the armhole seams on the back and front, aligning all notches. Press the seam allowances toward the sleeve.
26.6. Press the armhole seam
p. 17- Press the finished armhole seam, forming a 0.1 cm roll from the bodice piece and back piece.
