Where it is used
12.6. Stitching neckband
p. 14- Stitch the neckband on and, at the same time, serge it with a 4-thread overlock along the neckline edges of the front, sleeve, and back. Seam allowance: 0.7 cm. Using a hook, tuck the serger thread tails into the cover stitch on the wrong side.

p. 14- Press the seam allowance from attaching the neckband toward the front and back neckline.

9-11. Attach neckline band
p. 7- Pin the neckline band to the garment’s neckline, making sure the notches line up. Sew the band to the neckline, clipping the seam allowance at the center front as needed. Allow 0.7 cm for the seam. Finish the seam allowance for attaching the placket to the neckline. Use a hook to tuck in any loose threads into the overlock stitching.

Shaping Neckline Curve
p. 9- Use an iron to shape the neckline into a smooth curve where it joins the back neck area (between the shoulder reference points). As you press, gently stretch the outer edge of the piece while easing the fold to create the desired curve.
