Facing attachment
Stitching facings to the garment neckline and front edges, trimming, clipping curves, and understitching/topstitching.
Where it is used
Pinning Facing to Waistband
p. 9- Fold the facing right sides together with the waistband edge of the pants. Pin the short edges of the facing to the seam allowances of the side seam and to the zipper tape.

Aligning Facing with Waist Edge
p. 10- Place the facing right sides together, aligning it with the waist edge of the pants and matching the notches and seams.

Attaching waistband to garment
p. 16- Attach the waistband to the garment using an overlock stitch. Wrap the waistband around the lower edge of the garment, right sides facing each other. Align the waistband seam with the left side seam. Match the notches and secure with pins. Even out the edges, then sew along the waistband edge on the overlock, gently stretching the waistband to match the length of the bottom edge. Press the waistband seam, pressing the allowances toward the garment. Topstitch the seam at 0.5 cm.
